If you write about local-first software, or you have already told someone that one of these apps was worth the $19, this is the arrangement. It is small on purpose: applications are read by a person, and the number of affiliates stays small enough that we know what each one publishes.

You apply, and a person reads it
Approval is manual and will stay manual. coii.io is one domain carrying three products; one referral link posted where it was not welcome takes all three down with it. So we read what you publish before we say yes, and the programme stays small.

Your link works on coii.io and on all three product sites — ref.coii.io, audio.coii.io, voice.coii.io — with your code on the end of it, like

The click is recorded, and remembered for 60 days
Inside the visit your code follows the reader: from page to page, across to the other two apps’ sites, and on to the checkout. One link covers all three — someone who arrives on your Coii Ref review and buys Coii AudioNotes instead is still your referral.
At the same time Lemon Squeezy’s own tracking script, which our pages load for a reader who arrived on an affiliate’s link and for nobody else, records the click on its side and remembers the browser — a cookie, and a browser fingerprint behind it, both described in §5 of the privacy policy. A purchase from that browser within the 60 days we have set is credited to the click — and since the licence is bought from inside the app after the trial, that checkout, opened a month later, is where every sale happens. It is why the script is there. - 4
Lemon Squeezy pays you
Our merchant of record holds the balance, handles the tax paperwork and pays you by PayPal or bank transfer. Commissions clear after 30 days, payouts are created twice a month, and a balance under $10 rolls into the next one. A refunded sale takes its commission back with it.
It takes 2% of each commission as its own fee, so $9.50 on a $19 licence reaches you as $9.31. That one is Lemon Squeezy’s rather than ours, and it is written here rather than left to turn up in a payout.
Where this programme can still miss you
Stated up front, because a commission that quietly does not arrive is worse than a limit you knew about.
Every app is free for 30 days, and most people who buy one do it from a screen inside the app, a month after they downloaded it. That opens a checkout in their browser, and the checkout is credited to you if Lemon Squeezy recognises that browser as the one your link arrived in. It does not recognise a different browser, a different machine, or a browser that has cleared its cookies and changed in the ways a fingerprint sees. Nor anything past 60 days.
The recognition is Lemon Squeezy’s mechanism and not ours, so we do not promise it beyond what its own affiliate terms promise. The installer itself carries nothing: a reader who downloads on a work machine and buys on a home one is not yours, and there is no way to make them so.
What to do about it
- Link to the product page, not to a download. The page is where the click is recorded; the installer records nothing.
- Every purchase happens inside the app, after the trial, so every referral depends on the same browser opening the checkout a month later. Write for the reader who will download on the machine they work on, not the one they are reading on.
- One link is enough for all three apps, so a piece covering two of them does not need two codes or two posts.
What to say, and what not to
The second list is not legal caution. Those details change between releases, and your post does not.
Say any of this
- Runs on your Mac. The work happens on the machine.
- Nothing is uploaded. There is no server of theirs to upload to.
- No account, no subscription. A licence key in an email.
- 30 days free, then $19 once, 3 devices, updates included.
- Works with the network off.
- Your files stay in the folders they are already in.
Say it in your own words. These are the claims that are true and will stay true — not a script, and not sentences we want to see copied.
Name none of this
- The name of the engine, the model, or whoever trained it
- How many parameters, or how many gigabytes, anything is
- The runtime, the framework, the libraries, or a version number
- Benchmarks, accuracy percentages, or speed multiples we have not published
- Anything about a competitor beyond what they say themselves, and never their screenshots
The word to use instead is engine, or nothing at all. We do not name these things on our own pages either, and a post that names them is wrong the first time we ship a different one — by which point it is indexed, embedded and quoted.

Disclose, every time
Say that the link earns you a commission, in the post itself, where a reader sees it before they click. Your jurisdiction probably requires this; we require it regardless.
Respect the room
No referral links where promotion is against the rules — which is most of Reddit, Hacker News, other people's Discords and most forums. We do not post links into communities we are not part of, and neither may you. Answering a question in a place you already belong, with a disclosure, is different, and is welcome.
No paid search on our names
No bidding on Coii, Coii Ref, Coii AudioNotes, Coii VoiceInput or our domains, and no ads that could be read as coming from us.
Not a coupon site
There are no discount codes to list, so a listing that implies one is a false claim. Coupon, deal and cashback listings are outside the programme.
Do not be us
No domains, accounts, handles or pages using our names or marks; no support offered on our behalf; no email that looks like it came from us.
No spam, no bought traffic
No unsolicited email, no automated posting, no purchased or incentivised clicks, and no self-referral. A sale that came from any of these is reversed, and the account with it.
Breaking one of these ends the arrangement and forfeits an unpaid balance. That is the whole enforcement mechanism, and it is written down so that using it is never a surprise. The complete and binding version is the Affiliate Terms.
